4 Tips To Get Free Or Cheap Netflix

The price of Netflix keeps going up as the streaming service grows in popularity.

Try these tips to get it for free or at a lower cost so you can enjoy its massive catalog of content.

Besides keeping you entertained, subscribing to a service like Netflix can save you money.
How? By keeping you on your couch, so you don’t spend a ton of cash eating out, going to the movies, etc. And in times of a pandemic, having a Netflix subscription can also keep you safe and occupied if stuck inside.

What’s the problem some have with Netflix? It’s ever-increasing costs as it aims to grow its catalog of shows and movies. Does this mean you should look elsewhere for entertainment? You could. But we’re about to show you ways to make Netflix cheaper or even free.

1. Sign up for a free trial.

Netflix started as a DVD rental service. And while its streaming service gets all the publicity nowadays, those rentals are still going strong.

If you’ve never tried renting DVDs from Netflix, now’s the time to start via a free trial. For 30 days, you can rent unlimited DVDs that will be delivered to your door at no cost. You won’t have to worry about late fees either.

This is one way to get free entertainment for a month, provided you cancel the trial before those 30 days hit. And one benefit of the DVD rental service is that it offers a better selection than the streaming, especially as far as new movie releases go.

That takes care of DVD rentals. What about streaming? Unfortunately, free trials for Netflix streaming disappeared last year, so you’ll be stuck with the DVD trial for now.

2. Share a login.

Chances are, you have friends or family members with a Netflix subscription. Ask for their login credentials, and it may give you a way to enjoy Netflix for free.

Even if you’re asked to pay your share of the subscription, this is a great way to get Netflix on the cheap. Just be sure that the plan you’re sharing allows you to watch on multiple screens simultaneously.

3. Get a new cell phone or Internet plan.

Cell phone and Internet providers have tons of competition, and one way they’re enticing new customers is by adding free Netflix to their plans.

T-Mobile is one example, as their “Netflix on Us” program offers free streaming with certain cell phone plans. You can check with your cell or Internet providers to see if they have something similar, or shop around and make the switch to get no-cost Netflix as a perk.

4. Search for Netflix coupon codes.

If you have no luck getting free Netflix by trying the tips above, look for coupon codes online to make the streaming service more affordable.

You can search for Netflix coupon codes via sites like Coupons.com, RetailMeNot.com, or Slickdeals.net. Or you can simply enter the following into a search engine to see what comes up: “Netflix coupon codes.”
