4 Simple Tricks To Get Free Stuff

Are you a fan of free stuff like furniture and other items you can use or resell for a profit?

If so, keep reading, as we’ll reveal some surprisingly simple ways to get free stuff that you probably never knew existed.

1. Look to local businesses.

If you aren’t friendly with the managers or people in charge at certain local businesses, now’s the time to start putting in that effort. Why? Because doing so can result in free stuff since many businesses give away items frequently.

Take a restaurant, for example. They often upgrade to new kitchen equipment, making their old stuff no longer valuable. By knowing the manager, you can ask if they have any unwanted items and take them off their hands so you can either use them or sell them for big bucks online.

Even though the item may seem like junk or outdated, you’d be surprised at the potential buyers waiting to snag it on sites like eBay or Craigslist.

2. Know when the trash gets taken out.

Each town has a bulk trash day where large items get set out on the curb for garbage pickup. By knowing this day, you can get in your car, cruise around, and see what’s out there waiting to be picked up.

What could you find? Items that people think they can’t sell due to a defect, such as a scratched coffee table you could unload to someone else for a profit. Or, the person leaving out the item may not want the hassle of selling it, which you can do by posting it on the Internet yourself.

Besides bulk trash day, drive around towards the end of each month. That’s when people typically move out and leave tons of furniture and other stuff on the curb that you can convert into a profit since it’s 100 percent free.

Last but not least, go to the nearest college campus when school ends. Students who are from out of town probably won’t bring their furnishings with them, and you can scoop them up off the curb for yourself, many of which could be in very good condition.

3. Show up late to yard sales.

You can score tons of great stuff at yard sales for cheap. But you can also get them completely free if you show up 15-30 minutes after they end.

Instead of having to move the items that they wanted to get rid of anyway, they’ll tend to leave them out with a free sign. Pick them up and put them out at your own yard sale or online, and that’s easy cash. And, if you don’t want to sell, you could use them for your own needs.

4. Get freebie alerts.

The tips listed above are more manual ways to find freebies. But you can sign up for freebie alerts to get notifications on your phone when something comes up that you’re interested in.

Head to FreebieAlerts.app and pick out what you want. When someone posts it on NextDoor, LetGo, etc., you’ll get the inside scoop so you can pick it up.
